The Saga of the Stars Continues
What if every star overhead had its own story? Its own battles, victories, and betrayals? That’s the idea behind Astromythos.

Book One told the origin story: the creation of the stars and the first sparks of light fighting back against a universe of darkness.

The first book struck a chord with the Kickstarter community, reaching full funding within its first half hour and rallying 633 backers who pledged $45,344, more than twice its goal, establishing Astromythos as a standout.
When Kings Fall and Darkness Rises
Book Two pushes everything further. Humanity rises under the Star Slayer King, a ruler corrupted by greed and twisted by the whispers of evil stars called Photovores. They manipulate him to cripple the living planet itself so darkness can spread unchecked.

The story unfolds through fully painted, gilded illustrations by creator Jon Sideriadis, revealing new cosmic myths, novas, pulsars, the Spider Lord, and the Star Slayer King himself.

Beneath the fantasy lies a meditation on courage, greed, emptiness, and hope. And for those who want to live the legend, this campaign includes a complete D&D adventure module set in the Astromythos universe.
It’s epic, dark, and deeply human. These myths are allegories about greed, oppression, and the fight for light in the face of shadow.
In these new myths:
The planet’s protectors are deceived and banished to the moon, forced to mine its magic core into weapons for mankind.

Kuros, the half-star, half-human hero, hunts down the corrupted King to reclaim the Arrow of Time, the only weapon powerful enough to slay a black hole.

New beings emerge: red giants, vampire stars, pulsars, magnetars, Nanos, and Tesimals. Even mountains, pebbles, and moons come alive to guide or deceive.
Lair of the Spider Lord
Alongside Book Two comes a full Dungeons & Dragons adventure module inspired by its events and settings. One of the Spider Lords has stolen the sun itself, trapping it in her castle tower on the moon. Heroes must journey across living mountains, volcanic fields, and spider-infested asteroids to slay her before she drains the sun into darkness.

The Mind Behind It All
Heres what others had to say:
Jon Sideriadis has been building Astromythos for over 20 years. He’s an illustrator, writer, professor, and his work has shown up everywhere, publishing, games, even films like Godzilla, Silent Hill, and Underworld.

Book One caught big attention. Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, and Graham McTavish all backed it. Brian and Wendy Froud (yes, Labyrinth and Dark Crystal) even wrote the foreword.
“What strange, cosmic powers must run through Jon’s veins for him to conjure up the magic of Astromythos? This RPG is a doorway into Jon’s world and I’m eager to charge through it.”

– Brian Stillman, Director,
Eye of the Beholder
“Jon is like a time traveler returning home to paint his adventures. His love and respect for classical art traditions is unparalleled.”

– Scott Fischer,
Magic the Gathering illustrator
